The Back Burners began when Danny Kortchmar and Rocco DeRosa met and bonded over their shared love of blues and American roots music. What started as a simple musical exchange quickly turned into something bigger — the kind of chemistry you recognize immediately. Wanting to build a band that could match that spark, they hand-selected a lineup of musicians whose feel and experience would elevate the sound: bassist Marty Ballou, drummer Vinny Pagano, and harmonica player Joel Latullipe. Each member brings their own history and musical voice, creating a group that fuses decades of experience with a fresh sense of momentum.
